T-bar sockets turned up this morning. Already used in some serious anger with great results. Quality seems OK, pitched at "enthusiastic frequent use amateur" rather than the "I make my living all day every day with these" market.

Although bought from the huge corporate on line A store, somebody gave me vouchers, they came from an outfit called AB Tools Online. Invoice says that if you use the code TOOLS10 you get 10% off their website prices. I have no connection to them other than as a customer spending somebody else's money.

Tried it out a couple of days ago - sorks really well. Makes two at a
time, but at just 10-15mins cooking time (once you've made the filling
and cut the pastry, oe even made it yourself if you want to be fancy)
it'd be simple enough to cater for more.

The snow's suffered from two solid days of torrential rain, but skiing
on piste is still OK. Off piste is like glue though. Still, it's early
days yet.

Dadaists, you'd think, but no, just the wife. Though the inflatable alligator was from my sister.

The tshirt is at least one size too small, only has a back-print (despite being made to order), and god knows why she thought I'd want to tell the world I own a van (which isn't even a Ford). I've now ordered two Russian-for-beginners books, but I can see the film is on iplayer, which might be easier.

Having said that, I did get one thing from my wishlist (an extra door seal for the van). Which is great, because I now have two, and have to return the one I bought. Because apparently marking things as purchased on a wishlist spoils the surprise.
