Selling as a crop, I suppose. Except it was sea salt or mined salt, not

It's not the first time I have heard of salt having an expiration date.

I don't recall Sheldon menitoning a specific cut of lamb but wait. You
said your aunt was about to put the nice looking loin chops in a pan to
sear and then add water to it and cook for about an hour with the lid
on. Did you stop her?!

It's a marketing trick to get people to throw out the old and buy it
again. I found some salt & pepper shakers in the cabinet with my
parents' wedding china. The salt is still fine. The pepper, likely,
has lost any ooomph it ever had since 1951. LOL

That makes my hackles rise--although when I consider the meaning of the
German noun Gift (poison), I do get a little quiet amusement out of it.

"Invite" as a noun. Yes, it's shorter than "invitation" by four whole
letters. That's no excuse.

Perhaps to suggest a time by which it would have caked up, not
having been enhanced with anti-caking agents such as silicon dioxide.

idiot. It's cold up here." Maybe it was a hibernator. It was
orange, so my first thought was Monarch, of course. Perhaps it

Perhaps. My mother always put a few grains of rice in her salt shaker
to prevent caking.

How old is salt? It could be several hundred million years old i.e., older than the dinosaurs. Himalayan is a fossil salt resulting from oceans forming and receding.

"Curate" has become fashionable and is widely misused. As a verb it
means to catalogue (there's another "verbed" noun) and as a noun it
means an assistant priest.

My aunt was a piece of work. I didn't see any point in confronting her
about it. It was her supper not mine. Knowing that conniving old biddy
it may just have been a ploy to get us to leave, which we were about to
do anyway. However, if it is an example of how people of that generation
cooked lamb I could understand why people disliked it.

It's hard to tell how long it will take table salt to start caking. It
depends a lot on the ambient humidity. It's pretty humid here in the
summer so the table salt starts to clump. Then when the air dries in
the fall it hardens. It's nothing that can't be rectified by pinching
the clumps between thumb and forefinger.

Best seller also usually means a book that is easy to read and pretty
shallow.

constitution. They all participated in several coup attempts.

I know I'm sure voting for trump next election. By god, he'll
sure put the quietus on those goddamn ukranian russian rebels
for good old vladimir.

He might toss the jews a bone, but, by god, it will be a very
small one. Maybe he'll send them some new beany caps ... with
propellers.

Both sandwiches still were fine and not soggy. They only "sell by" date
them a few days out. Pizza on the hot plate is thrown out after a
